Penny Mac has been great to work with, but the financial institution that got me the loan was a rip off. They took 10,000 I worked hard to get. Told me my credit rating dropped right before signing.

PennyMac has always done everything they can to help me keep my home. I have fallen on some hard time financially and they are alway trying to help me keep my home and find a solution to my financial issues. Would recommend them to anyone wanting to buy a home and stop renting and begin to plan for there future

Horrible company. I have had to file two major claims and they don’t allow the insurance companies to pay you direct. Payments are made to the lender, PENNYMAC and to you. You don’t have to sign over the check and they determine how much they want to give you towards getting the work done on your property. In the case of my roof, I was initially paid $8000 because of depreciation. The bids that I was getting were in the neighborhood of $14,000 to replace the roof. The first check I received again was for 8000 and PENNYMAC would only initiate the payment of 25%. Every roofer in the city wanted 50% of the total bill as a deposit. PENNYMAC was only wanting to give me 25% of the $8000 which was $2000 to get started on the roof. That left me short $5000. No matter how many calls I’ve placed or how many times I escalated the matter. PENNYMAC refused to give me any more money. How do I not been able to come up with the money myself I would’ve been terrible trouble. I was able to secure the funds and get the roof completed just before a huge storm rolled through. Here’s the kicker, had I not had the funds and had the storm destroyed my personal belongings I would not have been insured. Farmers had already cut me a check for two for the repairs and because they’re already done so I would’ve been liable for any damage because the repairs and I’ve been made PENNYMAC would not have held any responsibility because they just don’t care. You would have to be crazy to allow PENNYMAC to on your loan. - this was drafted via voice to text. Please forgive the grammar, sentence structure and punctuation.
